Artisan's Village Classes:

Russian / Mongolian Felt Hat with fur or Mohair trim
HL Stephen the Merchant will be doing a demo on the making of wool felt as shown on the vertesable.com website. The class will consist of cutting out triangles of pre-made felt and sewing them together with a simple blanket stitch and then adding on a fur trim or needle felting on a mohair trim.
Stephen will bring wool ready to felt (poodle pile) and demonstrate the technique he uses to make the finished product. The students that will want to help with this process need to wear clothes that they will not mind getting wet and soapy, and rubber gloves if they wish to protect their hands. All other supplies will be provided by Stephen.

Bringing the following items will make your time at the trade blanket more enjoyable: A cushion to sit upon(no chairs on the trade blanket due to space limitations), A drink and a snack (Trade blankets can last 6 or more hours), A good light or lantern (The better to add to the atmosphere), Warm layers if it gets cold.
